Abstract:

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the field of education has gained significant attention in recent years, promising to revolutionize the way students learn and educators teach. However, the successful implementation of AI in education hinges on the presence of several critical prerequisites. This presentation explores the essential conditions and factors that need to be in place for a seamless integration of AI technologies within educational institutions. The presentation begins by providing an overview of the current landscape of AI in education, highlighting the potential benefits and challenges associated with its adoption. It then delves into a comprehensive analysis of the prerequisites required for the effective implementation of AI, ranging from technological infrastructure and data privacy considerations to pedagogical strategies and teacher training. Additionally, the importance of stakeholder engagement and support from policymakers is emphasized, as they play a pivotal role in shaping the educational AI ecosystem. Furthermore, we will discuss case studies and examples from educational institutions that have successfully implemented AI-based solutions, shedding light on best practices and lessons learned. By examining both successful and unsuccessful implementations, this presentation offers insights into the key determinants of AI’s impact on education. In conclusion, this presentation underscores that for AI to truly transform education, a holistic approach encompassing technology, data, pedagogy, and policy is imperative. It outlines the crucial prerequisites that educational institutions and stakeholders must address to harness the full potential of AI in enhancing the learning experience and improving educational outcomes
